Narrative

Who wears writes short shorts? And directs. And edits… okay, and some VFX when called for.

Nosey Neighbor

“Drama is life with the dull bits cut out.”

— Alfred Hitchcock

Editing

Every project tells a story. Whether narrative, documentary, branded, or corporate, editing shapes rhythm, emotion, clarity, and meaning. It turns raw information into emotional experience.

Comedy demands precision. Drama demands restraint. Both are built in the edit.

Say Again?

Directed by Kelley Bell. Winner, Best Comedy (Super Short), Alternative Film Festival Toronto. Editorial, title animation, and sound design focused on timing, rhythm, and performance.

Every 02:00 Minutes (Story #2)

Produced by the Nashville Filmmakers Guild for End Slavery Tennessee. Official Selection: Nashville Film Festival and Atlanta Shortsfest (2019). Edited for emotional realism and narrative tension.

Motion Design

Motion design gives abstract ideas shape, movement, and momentum.

Rather than focusing on spectacle alone, strong motion design relies on visual metaphor and metonymy, using symbolic imagery to communicate complex ideas quickly.

Brand Strategy (UMCOM)

Created for United Methodist Communications, this minimalist explainer uses evolving linework and negative space to visualize strategy, structure, and organizational direction with clarity and restraint.

Treasury Management

A fast-moving, texture-rich explainer designed to bring energy, clarity, and personality to financial communication.

Branding

Motion Design & Editing for Television, Social Media, and Corporate

From television networks to streaming campaigns and corporate storytelling, my work focuses on building visual identity through motion design, editing, and brand-driven communication.

While leading the rebrand of FamilyNet, a classic television network featuring titles from the Sony Pictures library, viewership grew from a hundred thousand viewers to more than one million.

Other projects include editorial and promotional work for Amazon Music, branded storytelling for United Record Pressing, motion design packages for corporate, and visually distinctive deliverables that blend cinematic, graphic, and cultural influences into cohesive audience experiences.

Awards

Recognition is ultimately collaborative. These projects reflect the work of talented teams, strong creative partnerships, and a shared commitment to storytelling.

Created for the 2025 Nashville 48 Hour Film Project, this short film received nominations in eight categories, including Best Film, and won for Best Visual Effects. My team “Post Haste Pictures” was a total of 10 people all told. Our budget was whatever I paid for deli sandwiches at lunchtime.

Opening sequence from a 2021 Silver Telly Award-winning social video, designed to establish tone, energy, and visual identity from the first frame. I edited and designed custom motion elements based on the non-profit’s branding.
